Sasha Hodder

Founder & Experienced Crypto Attorney

Sasha Hodder is the Founder of Hodder Law, and aims to provide cryptocurrency companies with legal advice they can trust.

​

Throughout 2021, Sasha was Senior Counsel at Exodus Movement, Inc. (tZERO ATS: EXOD). She provided the Company with legal advice and strategies required for a tokenized Reg A+ offering that raised $75 million, and worked with a staff of over 200 people to help operations run smoothly for the non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet. 

  

Between 2017 - 2021, Sasha was a Partner at DLT Law Group, and Of Counsel with Cogent Law Group. She spent four years providing crypto law legal support to hundreds of pioneers and market participants. Prior to her legal career, she worked as Vice President of Sales for NEI Investments, Business Development Manager for Franklin Templeton Investments, Financial Advisor for TD Canada Trust and a Series 7 Licensed Trader for TD Waterhouse.

 

Sasha received her Juris Doctor from the Florida Coastal School of Law, a Master of Business Administration from the Wilfrid Laurier School of Business and Economics, and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Ontario. Sasha is licensed to practice law in the state of Florida.

Bill Wise

Legal Analyst

Bill is a 3rd year law student who has been heavily involved in the crypto space since early 2019. During his college years he rapidly dove into everything the emerging crypto market had to offer, researching, and utilizing many of the new services and protocols that emerged from the DeFi boom. Bill’s obsession with the crypto markets has led him to experiencing historic events in the crypto space in real time.

​

During school Bill pursued a wide range of experiences including an internship at the Office of the Speaker of the House at the Michigan House of Representatives, and a trade administrator internship with Buckland Global Trade. While in law school, Bill was a research intern for the blockchain startup Apifiny, where he used his DeFi experience to advise the company’s Chief of Compliance about all the new cross chain financial instruments DeFi had to offer.

Bill graduated from Michigan State University with a B.A. in International Relations and is currently pursuing his J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law. He plans to take the Bar next year and become part of the next generation of Blockchain lawyers.

Ma. Raquelene Joy Sta Cruz

Legal Analyst

Raq has been working with Sasha Hodder in the fast-growing and dynamic cryptocurrency financial sector for the past three years. She began working as a Compliance Officer for Bitcoin ATM kiosks, providing federal compliance services including transaction monitoring and performing all required filings with the Bank Secrecy Act. Raq recently passed the ACAMS certification and examination in 2021.

Prior to her cryptocurrency related work, Raq spent two years as a KYC Analyst at HSBC Global Banking Markets and nearly four years as a Senior Business Processing Specialist at AIG. She graduated cum laude from STI College in the Philippines with a degree in Information Technology.

Digital Media Support

Nathan is a Freelance writer and blogger that helps Hodder Law by creating content and providing digital media support. He's fascinated by the potential for decentralized currencies to futurize society. He's got a Political Studies Degree from the University of Saskatchewan.
